I am thinking of removing my front fenders on my tracker and would like to see if anyone has done this and have pics.
Sooner or later my rig won't even be street leagal. I like to wheel the crap out of it and thought of removing them instead of smashing them up or cutting them.
Any thoughts on this or pics would be great.
The 10mm bolts run around the front, top, door-side and rocker-panel edge of the fender.
The toughest to get to is the one on the top end of the door jamb (under the trim plate in front of the sideview mirror) and the two at the bottom. The two bottom bolts are exposed to a lot of water/dirt and are hiding under the plastic rocker panel trim. You'll need to carefully examine how the trim piece is attached before removing it. The two bolts should be soaked with PB Blaster to guarantee that you don't break the bolts as you remove them.
Take a peek at an aftermarket manual for your Tracker at the local public library (Chilton is better than Haynes) for more info.
Don't forget to disconnect the side marker lamp circuit!
If the fenders are in good shape and you didn't bugger them, you might be able to sell them!
