If you just want something cheap and functional, I've seen people use that black landscaping edging from the garden department at Home Depot.

ive seen that done, looked like it would work decent

my lug nuts require more torque then my engine makes ;)

The cheaper stick on stuff.. ( rubber material ) you can find at RV shops through most of Canada and the US. They use it to cover the tops of Baggage doors that leak. U never know maybe theres some new stuff out that might work too.
