i really need to buy the book but does anybody know the torque specs for a 1988 sammy for the fly wheel to the crank ?

86 sami 87 motor and a few other years in there probably, dana 44 rear,36"tsl. I once had splitfire spark plugs.

Flywheel bolts must have Loctite or similar thread locking liquid used on them. You will get false readings if you don't clean the old Loctite off first.

Flywheel bolts must have Loctite or similar thread locking liquid used on them. You will get false readings if you don't clean the old Loctite off first.

I just forwarded this to myself so I remember to check mine. I had mine off and I don't remember using locktite. I have it torqued down pretty tight but I better throw some locktite on because I sure as hell don't want to find out what happens if it comes loose. Thanks for the reminder.

It falls off   :o. One guy over here who races an SJ had two or three flywheels come loose, now he has extra dowels fitted. When I removed the box on my SJ there was one bolt missing, the others seemed tight enough but it made me wonder.
