Can you bolt the third member from the rear axle of a Tracker into the front differential housing?

No, ring gear is too big
but you can bolt the rear
3rd member of a Sammy to the
front of a Track/Kick
Or was that just the carrier ???

Then what about using the carrier from the front diff in the rear third in the front diff housing?

Hmm...... never tried that, it might work
if the rear 3rd member fits the bolt pattern
of the front housing

Let us know if it fits :)

I'm 99.9% certain that the answer is no. I will double check tomorrow if I get home before it gets dark. The sammi 3rd member fits but the R&Ps are different ratios.

The rear diff of a sidekick is SO much bigger than the front. Even the diameter of the third member itself, where it bolts up.

It won't work.

Darn. I was hoping that I'd be able to get a steel 3rd without paying a buttload of money :(
