1.3 8v,1.6 8v and a 1.6 16v are interference engines a 2.0 is a non interference engine so your good on undamaged valves and pistons. Get cam gears and timing chain your going to need them anyway then you can compression.

The 8v engines aren't usually interference, and although I can't speak definitively about the 1.6 8v, I will do so for the 1.3 8v - it is NOT an interference engine.

On the 16v engines - Suzuki says that both the 1.6 & the 2.0 ARE interference - I've no personal experience with the 1.6 and I currently have a 2.0 and hope never to find out.

I got the timing chain kit  today & tomorrow I will pull it apart and decide how far while im into it .
 Ive had 1.3 that broke timing belt no issue 2 1.6 16 v that broke belts those were just line up the pullies put new belt on & away I went  Im hoping for the same with this 2.0

I put a timing chain set on & had compressin on cyl s 12&3 BUT NONE ON #4 pulled the head and found 2 open exaust valves piston looks ok guess its time to look for some valves & gaskets so far Im not a fan of the 2.0
