Should be. I even installed new foam on top of the rad to fill the gap left from the body lift. Everything in the cooling system checks out. I couldn't fit a shroud around the new fan, besides, this one ( as do most electric fans) comes with a smaller built in shroud. This fan darn near covers the whole area of the finned section of the rad. I had to make new mounts and really fit it in there, so now any space advantage I had with the smaller fan is lost. I did make it so it comes out easy enough though.
 I swapped mostly so I would be able to control the fan ( on/off ) in the deeper water crossings here in the Wharton. If I hit the deep stuff when the fan was running it would throw muddy water all over the engine compartment, I mean really coat everything good. It also made it easier to install the first turbo setup which had the air induction tubing running to the front of the truck. Haven't had time to drive it with the new fan, other than around the burbs here, probably thurs when it's supposed to be REAL hot I'll take it for a ride in the woods. I know one thing, this fan KICKS ASS! It sucks air twice as hard as the old one. Hope this does the trick. I also got a hold of another 6" spal puller fan I plan on putting behind the trans cooler when I get the time and motovation to move it. Good thing I got that GM 100+amp alt installed. Hows yer back?

I just wonder out loud, why, if no boost being made, and all else being equal, it wants to OH in the first place...?
Maybe, like you have mentioned and I have seen, it is the preponderance of coolers you have out front was limiting air flow?

Cooler for trans in front of rad, AC condensor in front of rad, Intercooler heat exchanger in front of rad, and big ass winch and winch bumper in front of rad. The only time it's ever an issue is when crawling in low range, 3/4mph, under load, with the AC on. This oughta take care of it.

Took the Tracker out for a woods run yesterday to check the cooling situation. Granted, there are no real challenges in the Wharton other than crossing fallen trees along the trail and the couple of rutted hill climbs, but for 3 hours I ran around in 4wd, and 4 low, even stopping for 20 minutes to eat lunch, all with the AC blasting, and never shutting off the engine. Temp guage needle never left the slightly below center mark. It was also 98+ degrees and 90+% humidity ( that's why I run AC.) I did have the fan running continually, and even used it on the ride home when I was stopped at lights for a while, or in stop n go traffic. All seems good to go.
