Suzuki Samurai Manual Locking Hubs
« on: October 24, 2011, 09:10:00 AM »
I own a 1988 Samurai and I am trying to change the manual locking hubs from the factory hubs to Mile Marker brand. I am running into a little problem. When I put the new hubs on the axle shaft, I have about a 1/8" shortage of shaft. This shortage keeps me from being able to put the retainer ring back on the shaft. I tried to pull the shaft further out, and still could not get the extra room to put the ring on. Please help.

You may have already fixed the problem by now. But there is a threaded hole at the end of the axle. Put a bolt in the hole to pull out the axle all the way. It takes three hands sometimes depending on the style of snap ring.  :)

There is a hole. That's exactly what I did. Thank you for your help.
