ring and pinion options
« on: August 18, 2005, 11:33:50 AM »
I run 31X10.50 R15s on my 92 sidekick. Which has OME total package and 1 1/2 coil spacers. I want a 5.83:1 ring and pinion, but  can't find one. What are my best options. Thanks for the help. Can I use another 4X4 such a a scout or bronco or any other that has a r&p close to what I need. I need input. Thanks Jimmy

Hey Jimmyn, Is your kick an auto or 5 speed? The reason I ask is if it's an auto you can run 5.12's. Which is stock in a 5 speed and available everywhere but now for the 5.83's I say good luck.

Just a note of interest.
Over here in NZ if it is a three speed auto ( usually in the 8V's ) then they are fitted with 4.6:1 r&p's. If it is a 4 speed auto it has 5.13:1 r&p's.
