I would start with the idle air control valve(under that little black plate of steel on top of the engine) check the plug connection first and clean it,get a used one next and try it out(about 100.00 dollars used 300.00 to 600.00 new.)

Mine shivered after I hadn't driven it for a long time, it was running on 3 (maybe 2) cylinders. after a few minutes of driving it went away.... Maybe check if you have spark? Otherwise try mrfuelish's approach  ;)

can you show the location of the air control with a photo?
