SPOA Instal Questions
« on: March 16, 2005, 10:30:12 PM »
Well I was working on putting in my lift last night and ran into a few problems that aren't addressed in the instructions.  First  I have the spidertrax spoa kit, and I have no idea where to put the front bump stop plates they provide, does really say, or how to position them.  Second I got the big tall ford front shock towers, where do I position them, I'm assuming you just cut out the stock ones and put them in there place.  Third and final I think, I got the rocky road ott stage 2 steering setup and one of the new knuckles doesn't line up quite right so I can't get the caliper bracket on, I was thinking just enlarge the holes a bit to get it to fit through, what do you guys think.  Other than that I am very happy.  I think I am going to email spidertrax and suggest they elaborate the instructions as far as those shock towers and the bump stops for the front.

I also used f-250 towers. I ended up cutting off 4" off the bottom and birdmouthing them halfway up to tip them out off the frame some. I run 32"? long doetsch tech shock with my own lower shock mounts.

The bump stop plates that I think you have go in between the stock bumpstop and the mount, but it's easy to just give them a call.

I'm not sure on the length of my shocks it must be close to that, I probably will give them a call to figure out where those fit and how to get the shock mounts in, anybody else know?
