« on: January 01, 2006, 10:02:52 AM »
Wife said we needed more Suzuki stuff to sell on e-bay.  I wanted a new tube bender.  Here is the first attempt.  I would appreciate any comments.

1 5/8  x .120 tube.
1/4 mounting plates
completely bolt on.
will get black texture powder coat finish

Thanks,

I think they look good. I wonder if they should be longer so that there's less chance of them getting hung up on stuff....would probably make them difficult to mount though. How much are you going to be selling them for...and what else do you make?

looks cool, here's a thought, could you makt the frame bracket in the shape of a U so there are only bolts on top of the frame??
That would eliminate having a large hanger under the frame.  I like your idea!

I like the style, the mount works, but will get
hung on stuff as well as make a full belly pan
harder to do, I use this part of the frame for
sliding........  ;D

Thanks for all of the input.  I am welding up the drivers side right now.  I made the bracket a u shape to keep it from hanging down past the frame.

I will probaly weld the final version on my truck, but I wanted people without welders to have an easy mounting system.

I will post some more pics when I get finished.

I am going to build 10 or so sets and see how they sell.  I think they will go in the $175 - $200 range.  Might be a little more powdercoated.

Here is the second try.

These might slide a little better.

I have so much of my fenderwell cut out that these look about right to me.

I think I need to build a set for closer to stock trackers.  The mounts will move in front of the body mount, and the bars will be longer.

Again any help is appreciated.

Looking good
But I think it would be stronger to run the brace all the out at an angle.
It has to support the whole weight of the Kick.

Good show.  They look real muscular.  I may well purchase some.  the only question I have is will they interfere with my skid plate.  Your rail looks like it will be in the way of the under garments of my sami.

These are built for a tracker or sidekick.  They are not in the way of anything stock.  Aftermarket belly pans or skidplates may cause a problem.
