Hate to say it, but that looks about normal for IFS.

Try Old Man Emu struts with the Calmini strut spacers for a little more but IFS isn't go to do what a solid axle does, that's what a front lockers for. What size are the Simex you're running?

if i remember correctly, you have the toyota CV shafts in, along with the hagen front end widening. but i cant remember if you are actually using the stock vitara diff housing and centre, or if you changed to the toyota housing.

OME struts are 30mm longer in shaft stroke to stock vitara struts. on a normal vitara, a mount flip and the OME is as much as you can go before you start killing the CV joints. but with your front end mods, the toyota shafts should be able to handle the added movement, and the added angle. if not, then lower the front diff housing some more, and that should give you a bit of room to play with.

a OME strut, and maybe a 2"/50mm strut spacer will give plenty of droop, about 3" over stock, but because of the front end widening, and the increased leverage on the arm and coil, you may bottom the strut out on full compression.

maybe get some OME struts 1st, and then expreiment with them, and also, your front coils may be too stiff/soft for the front end mods. maybe look at getting some custom front coils made up.

Wasn't it you too who had sagging after the widening mod? Did you put other springs in by then? because off the added leverage it would flex easier me thinks  :-\. That's why you went through all of that trouble right? I'd say have some coils made upor try to find other ones at a breaker....

thats my problem. on flat my front end seems to sag but on off road it wont flex. im still using the calmini springs.

are the ome struts softer than calmini's? it seems like i have to change to softer struts and springs... but then im pretty sure the front end will sag more.

im running simex 32x9.5r16. love those tires.  :)

im running nospin detroit locker rear (toyota) and an open front. i try to go away from investing on a front locker. the detroit truetrac is quite expensive.  :(

Well the left hand front is obviously at the bottom of its travel but how far off the bump stop was the right hand front?

In Mike's writeup on widening the IFS, he states it will cause a little more sag due to more leverage, it says he added a spacer to compensate.

Your never going to get enough flex out of the front to make the tyres touch down in those conditions with IFS.

I say lock the front and don't worry about flex, who needs four tyres on the ground any way  ;D

Simex's are excellent tyres, I have a copy of them (Monoform Mongrels, Aussie made) but will probably be going to the originals next time.
