S-10 engine in a 88 SAMMY
« on: January 04, 2006, 07:53:19 AM »
A friend offered to sell me a 88 Sammy that had a s-10 motor installed.  He said that he got it running but never hooked up the 4WD.  Could it be it would not work or he just did not know how?  Has anyone done anything like this and what is involved in getting this thing going?  Is it worth the $200 he wants for it?

The Samurai without running gear is most likely worth $200 unless it is completely thrashed. Does the seller have the original engine/tranny?

Not sure at this point which engine was installed and as for the Sammy, it is in great shape, mostly faded paint and tree scum cover the body.  The seats were removed and put in an old military jeep,  not sure if old engine and trans is around.
