Some JACKA** hit my sidekick!

I was driving to work a few nights ago in this really shitty snowstorm the other night when some retarded, non-driving, chromed out, drug dealing Jackass lost control of his 93 VW jetta and cut across 2 lanes and hit me.  I got to drive away, he didn't.  My sidekick took a good hit to the front right that pushed the a-arm mounting bracket back a bit, but she still drove.  I went ahead and hauled my load to Detroit since I was almost at the truck anyhow, and took the Suzuki in for inspection.  A frame shop bent the front bracket back out and now all is almost well.  Still gotta get the steering fixed.

The irresponsible guy that hit me has NO insurance, and I ended up paying for this shit outta pocket. I'm gonna sue him, but it will be like getting blood from a stone.

I am NOT gonna get rid of my Sidekick though my insurance might even total it out.  Damn little trucks really grow on ya.  The body is barely damaged, so hell with it, I figure get her fixed up and get over it.

Hey, those aren't dents, they're beauty marks and evidence of (a) great character!!  Sucks about the retard that hit you; ever notice that the drivers *with* insurance rarely have to use it for collisions like this...

Welcome to the club. lol  :P Maybe you can switch to a BMW X-5 their bumpers are cheaper.  ;) They were close to totalling my Tracker after it got hit last week too.

No, your not suppose to, but many dumb asses get coverage long enough to get their tags and then let it expire. If it pushed in court you can have the bastard arrested (wont be detained long though) for failing to show proof of insurance at the tme of the accident (they should also take or restrict his license.


You should of told the police that you smelled weed when he got out of the car and had him searched. At least you would of had the privilage of watching his non insurance having ass get hauled off to jail.

Don't you have uninsured motorist protection on your policy?  I got it with all my policies here in NY, I don't even think it costs extra.

What state do you live in, Or should i say what state did it happen in? Becouse in Mi it's no fault. What that means is if you got your shit fixed by the guy who hit you's money, You cant sue him.

I live in Ohio, and it happened here.

Ohio is one of the shitty states that does not check if your insurance expires.   So you can get away with it unless you do something dumb and get in an accident.  This guy will have to pay a fine, and if he does not get insured before the court date, his licence gets suspended.  But, he WILL get the insurance, and keep his licence, AND let it expire again.  Sadly, LOTS of people do that in this state, especially in the Cleveland area, where lots of people have not money and shouldn't be driving in the first place.

Should have said I smelled weed....  hehehehe

I'll remember that.
