Got the output shaft out of the T-case and
in for machine work, will see if the center of
the shaft can be drilled and tapped to accept
a 3/8" Bolt for a flange mount Yoke

Installing this Kit will require removal of the
T-case and swapping of the output shaft, not
too bad of a job, but requires almost a complete
T-case disassembly

The kit will include
Machined output shaft
New Slip Spline Drive Shaft

Estimated Cost has yet to be determined

I don't know of the flange will fit but the shaft can be drilled. (I've did it in my dual T-case project.)

Well I'm either going to try a Cobalt drill bit
or I have to get a Carbide tipped drill bit to
cut the hard outer on the shaft Rockwell 65-80
is a tough cut, once that's done, it should progress
rapidly.

I hoped Earny had the right drills, but he said he
didn't have any that were the right size to cut threads
after, hole size is critical for thread performance

Tried a special drill bit tonight, it's
supposed to cut hardened steel
and glass and ceramic, well it made
some progress, as sparks were flying,
but the tip shattered from some viberation.

I'll try another bit tomorrow,
This is some tough stuff

How's it going? I have a couple people here who are interested in hearing the status of this project. They want to go SAS. :)

SAS  :P    J/K   ;D

I wasen't working on the front output,
but I suppose that could be done too

The shaft is some hard stuff, I still need to get
the replacement drill, I might have to order a
special Carbide  bit that is designed to cut R60+
hardness steels.

you could get it EDMed. Basically burn through the steel with electricity. shouldn't be too expensive either.

I tried to do this to the front output shaft on my sammy live axle conversion.

4 drill bits and 3 hours and it hardly shifted it, another guy here tookt he case to a milling shop and they charge 20 quid but said they ruined 4 millling bits to get it done and wouldnt do another ,

tough old gears ,  I basically got the prop to the limit length that does the job on holing it in place , it is a sammy/kick cross prop with the slip yoke in the middle too so it has enough momvent without pulling it out the t case
