Hi guy's/guru's.
Another carb related question.
Prolly simple for the experienced people.
I live in Canada.
We have the american air care system here.
Sammy passes with flying colours every year.( yes...that's how we spell 'colours' ) ÂÂ

The truck won't idle up on cold start.
Checked vaccum and such.
Everything works fine if I hold the choke plate open manually a bit.
3 min later it will hold 2ooo rpm and fast idle on it's own, 1000 when warm and no headlight or acces. on.
If I dont hold the choke plate open it floods/stinks/pukes black moisture onto the wifes car ÂÂ

Any suggestions on keeping the choke slightly open for the 3 min or so?
I could relace the vaccum pot that controls the choke but it's 105 buks canadian. How can I test it?
It was suggested to me to install a manual choke.
Before that...
Is there a simpler fix?
Otherwise I have had no carb issues, but it has done this for a while.
I have gone this far with help from the boards.
What options do I have?
