Is there an adjustment on clutch switch?

i have a 96 tracker.  Lately I have to really stomp on the clutch to get it to let the starter engage.  Where is the starter lockout switch located, and is there an adjustment that I can make, or can you just put a jumper across it without burning something up?

Give it a check for dust bunnies....  sounds simple enough. Mine actually quit working because of how dirty is was.  There is a way to test it, it specifies how to in the hayes manual.

Mine does the same, and I'm planning on rerouting the wires and using them for a kill switch up under the dash somewhere. I had a look under there and I'm lacking the double rear-articulated elbow to try and adjust the blasted thing.  Just my .02   ::)

I finally took the time to crawl underneath the dash.

Turned out to be reeeeal simple.  The switch is mounted on a threaded stem.  Disconnect wires, loosen jam nut (14mm) twist the switch a turn or so, tighten jam nut, plug it in...
