16V & Snorkel

Does anyone have pics of a Sami with a 16V and a snorkel? I am looking into making one for min out of 2" Hydraulic hose. Have a friend with a bunch of left over hose, a hotsaw to cut it with, and a machine to put the clamps on with. Best of all, I can do it for FREE! I have it drawn up in my mind was hoping to be able to look at one that already has it done.

2" is too small, I think you will starve
for air flow, 3" would be fine, even 2.5"

Thanks for the info.

takai:

Maybe you can find a junked Firefly and salvage the overhead "boobie-tubes"  I think they are 10-12" in diameter, but perhaps there are smaller conduits inside that may be useful.  I have always wondered is they are part of the system that controls "burn-through"...  At least you can count on them lasting forever...

Do you know how hard it is to find a Firefly in one piece anymore?  ::)
