glass pack?
« on: February 21, 2006, 03:07:40 PM »
i am wanting to get a custom exhaust made up by a shop in town here. my ideas are:

no cat
2inch from the cat to muffler
glass pack muffler ( cherry bomb)
than maybe 2.5 duals from the muffle back

what do you guys think?

Not a huge fan of glass packs on a smaller engines. I would say look at a dynomax of something similar. Other than that doesn't sound to bad.

Glass packs sound fine after a turbo,
but the turbo upgrade will cost a little
more than a good mellow sound muff

My rig is set up with a custom 2" front to back with calmini header with a cat and a cherry bomb and i hate it driving down the highway is way to loud.

I would reconsider getting a cherry.

El cheapo turbo2 muffler. They sound good and give decent power with 2" exhaust. Got that and a calmini header on lil red and I love the sound.

Stay off the trails and out of the woods. Out here anyway you need baffles to be legal. Glass Packs don't count as spark arresters.

I like the sound of mine it is 2 inch no cat and turbo muffler ( sounds like jeep off of MASH)
but there is a humm in the 2500-3000rpm range and the on other prob with my kick is the placement of the exit is between my gas tank and the mud flap and now it swirls the gasses up and into the back so watch that. don't know where too exit mine right now
