I thought I would start the thread of my buildup of my stock zuk I had picked up this past summer.
Since my ugly beast is on the selling block and will be gone soon, I am close to starting the buildup "Green Machine" I had about 1000.00 to look for a zuk this summer and after looking at a red one for 700.00 that needed a carb, leaked oil badly, but had low miles and was was very clean. I thought I would offer her 500.00 since I knew she had to get rid of it. But as I was looking over it for the 100th time that day, something just told me to hold on and wait a day or two. So when I got home I called my friend RJ (Since he gets alot of zuks and usually knows were one was.) to see if he had anything. he said didnt u see the one for sale on your way home? I said no, where is it. So I jumped back into my car, drove 31 miles to were I past it the first time that day and didnt see it right there next to the highway for sale!!! how could I have missed that I said to myself.
Looked her over, very clean, inside looks good, forsale sign said, good runner, two softtops included 1300.00. So later that day I called and talked to the husband and wife. I told them I am very interested in the zuk, they told me a offer was in and the guy probally is going to buy it. well I thought to myself cash talks, so I told them here is my offer 1000.00 cash, if and when I hear it run, and drive. They said ok, I met them the next day heared her run, she ran very nice...they gave me all the reciepts of regular checkups at the suzuki dealership. I drove it and it shaked kinda bad for flat spots in tires. So anyways I ended up getting it for 1000.00 drove her home and now it begins.

The first thing was my nice Ibuilt bumper from of course Ibuiltbumers.com, I ran up to Mikes and got her put a new smile, and had some good convo while I was there. You all really need to check out his site. Very nice products for the zuks.

Next was the spring over lift, Roll cage, and KN Airfilter. MY friend RJ, buddy of his (Forget the name) and me took on the spring over at 7:30pm and had her lifted by 11pm. Sat me and RJ tackled the roll cage which took longer then expected.

Finally after all that I had to toss on my new Baja Widetrack MT's 31x10.5x15. I still needed to get figure out what size shocks I needed. In this pic u can see the front end being pulled down by the shocks extended all the way.

And yes finally I got the shocks in, and had to get all poser on ya. I might move the rear shock mounts in the future, I will play that by ear. And I am working on doing the 4.62's sometime soon. but other than that for the moment she is done. As u can see the front flexes well, I think i might have measured wrong for the back shocks, I will look into that soon.
