Question about TC reduction gears in Trackicks
« on: March 07, 2006, 12:44:56 PM »
I have a question about trail riding with crawler gears in the TC of a Tracker

31" tires,  5.62 gears   5 speed.   What gear do you guys cruise in? on say, fire roads, or sections where you want to run, say 15-20 mph?  Right now, with my 5.12's and 31's... high range 1st is too high to comfortably cruise in...  and after the 5.62's and  crawler gears,  low range 1st will be way too slow, as will probably 2nd...

My question is, say going from one place to another off road... what gear do you use in low range?  I know I will figure it out in about 10 seconds when I get it done.. but I was just wondering what you Crawler gear guys do...  pure curiosity and lack of patience... LOL...
