Hello From Minnesota!!
« on: March 25, 2006, 06:36:44 AM »
Hey guys...just happened across your site during my zuki travels.  I'm a regular on a couple other zuk sites, but it's nice to see one with more Trackers and Sidekicks...  My son and I will be starting a Tracker project this spring.  He's 15 so we have some time to get it up and running.  We don't have it yet, have to make a trip to michigan to pick it up...but here's a pick.

We'd like to get it settin on 31s if possible without spending a fortune.  He's got to be able to keep up with this on the trails... ;D

Welcom to Zukiworld muskyslayr . You can fit 31's without alot of trouble (small lift and a little trimming). I ran 29"x10.50  interco's for a long time with just a Calmini 2" lift and no trimming

Just do a search for tire size, lift, 31, etc.... and you can find allot of info about this topic.

Also be sure to brouse through the article archive (link at the bottom of the page). There is some good stuff in there too  ;)

Welcome aboard,

I know all about addiction... ;D

I've had my Zuk for about a year and a half and I'm in the middle of my second build.  But I can't wait to get my hands on that Tracker...that one's gonna be fun.  I wonder if the kid will be disappointed if I decide to keep it for myself.   ;D

Welcome   Wow, wrapped around a tree or a poll?   hey, when you get a new bumper, just go with maybe a Calmini Bumper that you can attach a winch too.   I see like 4 red ones like that in my town, but none like mine.   Where abouts is this place you are going trailing?   Im from Wisconsin, maybe Im not too far, Eau Claire area.   Anyways, what year is that?   I thought 96 cus of the paint scheme, but the wheels differ and theres no grille for me to make sure.   If you have the 16 valve engine, I highly suggest buying a K&N Filter (PM me for part numbers and some help on how to do it, I use an open cone filter and it works better then any boxed filter would) and Id suggest the Calmini Header with performance exhaust.   Calmini has a lot of parts you might want.... just keep an eye on your checkbook.

Yeah, I guess it hit a phone pole...  it hit hard enough that the rear coil popped out, hence the sag. ;D  I don't remember for sure what year it is, I think it's a 96...  Oh, and believe me, I know about watching the checkbook...I'm still building my Sammy. ;D  This one's for my kid, so I'll get it running, and back to somewhat straightened out...maybe help him with suspension and such, but mods are on him :P  I'll be building the bumper myself...notice the signature...I've been wanting to expand into the Sidetracks anyway but never had a template to work from.

We're wheelin in central Minnesota, actually, north of central...might be a little far for you on a day trip. :(

Anybody on this site going to Zukimelt in Attica, Indiana in July?

hi again.
i was going on Saturday around to the local welders to see if they would fab me up an offroad bumper for my tracker.  seeing as you have the skill to do that for yourself, what would it take for you to make one for me?  email or pm me and i'll send you my phone number.  and i'll definitely be up for a run as soon as i get mine lifted at least a couple of inches!!

Like where-abouts in central MN?   Any idea how far the drive would be for me?   Ive driven almost 2 hours to go mudding for 2 hours before.   And what time would you be going?
