I'm in process right now of building the
prototype all stainless 16V header, I have
everything I need now, and will be working
on it this week before Moab.
Intercoolers will be dependent on the lift
and mods you have, big intercoolers can
be fitted if you have a 3" body lift, or smaller
ones can be fitted with some holes drilled in
the sheet metal around to the front side of
the radiator.
Turbos can be bought new or rebuilt, I would
recomend one from a 1600 to 1800 cc engine,
smaller is better for lower revs, bigger is for
Ricers, remember that, drivability on and off
road is a big factor.
Swap out the stock injectors for some 25 PPH
units, they come on EFI 2.3L Fords (non turbo)
I'm sure there are others too but Fords are common
I would also add a mixture meter and a boost guage,
good to keep track of what's going on under the hood,
you will also need to retard the timing about 4-5* or until
the ping stops, you should also run premium unleaded.
Headers are going to be about $450, intercoolers are
going to be in the large size only (you need a body lift)
or find one at a wrecking yard for smaller sizes, Nissans
and Mazdas are the ones that come to mind.
Big intercoolers are about $250, and are custom sized
for the front of a Track/Kick, you can see a similar style
