Crazy Day...
« on: April 03, 2006, 01:32:56 AM »
Hello All,

Went to the shop to pull my motor out a start the rebuild...Well people came to shop wanting something done...bend some pipe...weld Harley fender....You know B.S. Jacked it up started to cut the exhaust off,and A buddy came up and wanted to borrow a dirt bike from the guy who was helping me......To get to his cabin...Now I have herd of the cabin being back in the woods...Holes that will eat 4 wheelers...Hum...I said lets take the Tracker ;D.So we take off...start back up roads that are going nowhere...get to the end...They said out this road...what road??? Well it was a 4 wheeler path...No joke...Old county road...There were holes with gas line pipes, logs, rocks,Tracker was kicking ass...and then they started to laugh...they said the next ones the BIG one...
I looked at it...was about as long as the tracker...So of course I hit it slow...When I DROPPED OFF!! the front end went straight down...OH SHIT!!! well it flexed more than a tracker should...Some rubbing and crawled right out.
They said that was the first time they made it in a Truck... so we went back to the cabin...Logs in the road, crushed driver side rocker...May-be I should have finished my slides...Oh well, So now we are coming back out..Hitting every thing on the way...Back at the BIG HOLE...well I tried to creep....My front bumper hit the other side....HIT THE BANK...So after about 5 trys...One guy got out...Tried one more time ...no luck...I was hitting it in 1st,4low and 5,500 rpms....My buddy said that I was bringing the tires off the ground two feet when it bounced up out...And just slid back in....So next time I backed up and 2nd gear wide open.....I made it out!!! got out to look at this hole...you could see where the TOP of my pass. side tire was cutting a groove...I never got in the hole but I bet it's 4 feet deep....Sorry no pics but there will be a rematch!!! And never did work on my motor  ::).Cut the rocker off up to 3/4 inch below the door to fix my "little" dent...And my front Auto hub is "Clicking" when under hard power...Think I killed it ;).

Later Tom K.
