oil light

ok i have just about got it not to back fire but at low idle speed the idiot lite flashes its full of oil and all that sorry about the silly questions but its my first sammy and im very impressed with its ability to climb anyway any ideas about why it would flicker

I think that the oil light,lighting up, means that the oil pressure is low if it is flickering that means that it is right at the point that the factory has preset as a "concerned level"
. could be idleing a little low? or you could have a problem wits the oil pressure

    Hopefully the engine isn't gaswashed! Make sure your oil doesn't smell like gas. Other than that, get a good mechanical gauge on it and see what the actual pressure is.

Change your oil, 10-30 or 5-30
your choice, and check the pressure
with a guage, you might have a worn
oil pump, I blew a turbo from a worn
oil pump at Moab last year.
