Okay, ya got manual hubs.
Well the outer (the ones that run through the hubs)axles run on a bushings (so I've been led to beleive) so my best guess would be the bushings are  dry.?

how do you remedy this situation?  is it as simple as spraying in some goop liquid or something.

Well, first make sure its not the wheel bearings that have run dry.
Jack it up by the A-arm just enough to get the wheel off the ground.
does it make the noise with the hubs locked, unlocked, or both?
Next, see if the wheel will move by grabbing the tire by the top and bottom (12 "o" position and the 6 "o" clock position) and see if it wiggles that way.
if it wiggles much, the bearings may need to be replaced or greased.
BTW, how many miles ya got?

i got only 78000 miles on and the noise occurs when it is unlocked.  i dont put it in 4wd much since it is stock and it is my daily driver as of now. .  so i dont know if the noise happens in 4wd as well but i can only assume that is does.

this summer i want to get fender flares, 31's , lift it , tubes on the front side and rear, hardtop, and make it a real fun ride..     :)
