Hey when i get new tires im gonna want better gearing, i have a 85 sammi now with 3.90 gearing in it i belive, i want to run anywehre beetween a 31-33" tires, bigger the better :D what gears would be better??

my lug nuts require more torque then my engine makes ;)

If you stay with a 31" tire, prolly 4.62's, but if you go up to a 33" tire, you'll want the 5.12's.

Been my experence that 5.12's are just a little too much gear for 31's.  Unless your more worried about trail preformance than road preformance, then go as low as you want.

i think that even with 33's the 5.12 doesent perform very good on road . still just a little too low of gearing. if i was building another sammi i'd use the 4.62's

K good to know, know where i can get a 4.62?
i think that even with 33's the 5.12 doesent perform very good on road . still just a little too low of gearing. if i was building another sammi i'd use the 4.62's
