I like them, and I have had no breakage
problems as someone else has, even bashing
around at Occotillo Wells (sand washes at 50 MPH)

I bought them because I burnt out a stock H3 bulb. I only put one in at first and it looked funny because there was such a difference. Night driving has improved alot since I put them in.

I bought some mock off lights for $20 and they don't seem much brighter...instead of a yellow glare there is a blue one now.

Maybe the real stuff from Sylvania is better.

They made a world of difference in mine, especially since the chrome is almost completely gone in my right headlight due to water.

From a driver's standpoint, they're the greatest thing since sliced bread. The drivers who have them aren't complaining about them. They light up the road markings much better.... You're driving at night, 'round a bend and ouch! you're staring down the barrel of high-caliber headlights boring right at you. Some creep left on the high beams, you grumble. But no, those are too bright, too white, almost blue, like an iceberg. What the heck are those lights? Can that much glare be legal? Isn't it unsafe? The lights are xenon-gas-ignited, high-intensity-discharge (HID) headlights, often known simply (and incorrectly) as xenon (ZEE-non) headlights. They are wildly popular with some motorists, and, if properly aimed, they are quite legal. I too have them on my truck and it's rare that I use the high beam. They would make for a killer back up light as well, but I haven't engineered that one yet.

We really liked our Silverstar lamps .  Tizzle did a bootylicious job over tha S-T-to-tha-izzock ones upside yo head. They appeared mizzuch brighta, whita, n we always git thugz ta flash they H-to-tha-izzigh beams, wizzy we is on low. Then we give tha whats up on high beam n watch tha whites of they eyes gizzle as you drive by.

very funny. i don't have a tester to acuratly measure the diferance but i put the silverstar bulb in and left the old one in that still worked and there was a very noticable defferance.  worth the price differance u have to justify that to ur wife. :) :)
