i have a sidekick and it has no power steering and i want to put a used power steering on it either off ebay or out of a tracker or sidekick at a local junk yard. just wondering if any one has done this or if any one could tell me if this is all the stuff you need to put power steering on my sidekick        http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/POWER-STEERING-SYS-SUZUKI-SIDEKICK-SAMURAI-GEO-TRACKER_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33588QQitemZ8068106531QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

so if some one could tell me if this is all i need it would be nice.

I believe you shouldn't have a problem. Most track/kicks came with power steering I thought? ??? Or is that only the high end  models? I don't see why it wouldn't work.

If you di not have AC, with I am assumong because you do not have PS, you will also need a double pulley to replace your single pulley that attaches to your crank shaft. I had my 97 tracker (with AC/PS) sitting next to my 89 Kick. As simple as it sounds to pull PS off a tracker and put it on a Kick it can get a little detailed.

Problems I ran into:
1- Mounting brackets form one did not work on the other ( a quick call to Hawk 1-888-SAMURAI with all tha associated parts in fron of me had the parts I needed on the way)

2- My set up (and that one appears to be the same) requires an AC compressor and all of the mounting brackets for the belt to be adjusted. I kept having trouble with mine, so the compressor was pulled and an idler pulley was mounted to a peice of plate steel to replace it.

3- beefing up the frame behind the steering box (mine was close to cracked in half from all the off road abuse, so your may be fine)

Also there are some minor differences between  late and newer model power steering pumps...

(top hose mount...if I recall)

Make sure you get everything including brackets and hoses....hoses are cheap as an online order

Do you have a repair manual? I would spend a few bucks on one if you don't  so you can see what you need and are getting yourself into.

Sure beats buying everthing and needing more stuff and you fix things to

You can go to the local library and check out a copy of Chilton's (or Haynes -- but it's pretty thin on Sidekick info as it mostly covers the Samurai)  Sidekick manual instead of buying one.

You can also find PS units cheap at U-Pick-It type salvage yards.
