I second that!!
The swedish supplyer for calmini wants 1600!! USD plus shipping for the 3" kit only.

I installed a 3" Boondox kit on my wifes Kick. It is a good kit. It has really nice springs. My wife said she thinks hers rides better on the road than it did before and off road it has alot of flex for an IFS. The Boondox kit addresses the major issues of a lift without giving up ride quality. They retain the stock control arms and thus it is more afordable.

Here is my review of it -

Installation- Was pretty easy. Did it in an afternoon by myself.

Quality- Seemed good. Nice springs, thick brackets, billet spacer, upper grade hardware, DOT brake line, etc Parts come finished in a black texture finish.

Ride- Good on road, great off road

Vendor- Boondox is a small outfit and just recently took to the internet. They didn't want the pressure of all that exposure but I told them there are others out there that are looking for a kit with the parts they use to lift these little trucks. So they decided to give it a try as long as I helped with the internet part of it. So that is what I do now part time. Me and my big mouth.  :-\ Just kidding. It is fun helping with some of it. The worst part is getting behind on shipping out stuff because some supplier held us up.

If you decide on a Boondox kit I think you will like it. It is a good kit for the money.

Better? Hard to say. Calmini makes a good kit and so does Boondox. Both have their own strong points. I think it is a matter of what works best for you and your budget.

Calmini is known to be very stiff and have horrible customer service. I'm going to go with the Boondox or OME.

a friend of mine had the calmini 3 inch on his lwb kick with 31's and he said it rode really rough and stiff. I didn't get to ride in it because he messed up his frame before I had a chance :'(   The calmini seems like it's the most complete kit by far because it even replaces the rear links for the 3 inch kit... I've heard about calmini being famous for bad customer service and if you want a good ride on road it sounds like boondox is nice. The calmini seems like it's a great setup though... I'd agree with shredder, go with what suits your budget and needs the best

I also say don't body lift if you can help it, you can add spacers or something to a boondox or calmini and get even more travel if you do it right.

2000 Grand Vitara.. boondox coil spacer lift w/ pro comp 2 inch lift shocks and ome struts. 225/75 R16 Kumho Mt's, powdercoated wheels, rear brake line relocation and stuff to acomodate. custom exhaust and intake along with some 1 off accesories.

Ordered my body lift from boondox, will have it tuesday and hopefully installed by next weekend. I will give a reveiw then! Would love to get my hands on the 3" lift for the 99-05 when its ready, but settled for coil spacers for now from Boondox. They work well for the money.  :)

Shredder

Go bend some springs!! I see the susp kits is out of stock, I need one fast hehe

A little sidenote... I tried mailing companys in US about shipping a 3" calmini to me,but everyone sends me back to calmini sales ,and they send me back to the swedish dealer that overpriced the kit to 1600 USD plus shipping.

Thank gods for Boondox and other companys like them.
