nooby question re: ac repair

hi,  anyone know the best way to get all the coolant out of the ac system without it spraying all over the engine bay?   ???

'91 tracker with a bad compressor.  thanks.

you need to take it to a shop with an a/c machine to  properly evacuate the system. if you dont want to repair it then just unplug the power wires to the compressor and it wont run.

thanks for the help.  found a local shop to do for under $35.  gettin' it done today!
