OK I just got my Zuki back on the road after sitting up for a while.
Now from about 48 - 53 mph I get a frong end shimmy.  it shakes the whole front end.
Once I get to about 55 it settles down.
Would this be the sterring dampener??? or front shocks?
I am thinking dampener cause I look at the front and the wheel seems to toe in and out at high speed when it happens.

Hmmm do you really think something is loose?      LOL
I figures that much out... it is figuring out what is loose that is bothering me.....
Everything seems tight when I jack up the front end and try shaking things around.....

Check out the tie rod ends for your steering.  When I finally pulled mine off I was suprised they didn't fall apart I had so much slop in them.

That is what happens when you don't go over 30 for over 6 months. 

If you're still out there, what did you finally find?  I have same problem on 86 Sammy.  I have checked allignment, tie rod ends, kingpin play, wheel & tires for roundness, wobble, and balance.  I replaced the stabilizer and shocks.  I have even added a wedge to improve axle angle, and while helping for a short time, the problem came back with gusto.    The manual says the seals on the pivot for the axle are critical, but mine seem OK.  Does anyone know if there is a torque measurement for the pivot with the seal installed and loose? 

have you had the front drive shaft out check u joints and make sure drive shaft index is correct

Sammy I bought last year sat for awhile, and tires went flat, well they got water in them, and at 45-55 shaked pretty good... I  would bet your tires are out of round, out of balance for got something in them.

The front drive shaft shouldn't be turning, I've checked my hubs, and this occurs only on highways, I rarely go over 50 on back roads that need 4X4.  I've had the tire runout and balance checked and then swapped tires and rims with another Sammy and the problem is still there.

Sounds to me like you have at least one bad shock. Possible blown seal from sitting.
