Usually all you have to do is get the key(ignition key) inserted into the lock. It doesn't have to turn, just stick the key in and pull the lock off...
can you use a small flat head to jimmy the little 'door" open?
I've messed with it again and it sure seems like the "door" is stuck. I can just barely get the tip of the key in and there's a lot of resistance...boy, that sounds...inappropriate... Anyone know exactly how these work? Wondering if there's any way to get them off short of grinding the top off.
