I want to remove the spare tire holder off the back and keep the tire in the back, I dont have rear seats so theres plunty of room. Heres what im worried about, if I get into an accident that spare tire will go fkying foward. How do I secure this down?

About the best way that I can think of is to install a mount in the floor using a stout backing plate to spread the load.  If your truck has rotting floor syndrome, you might consider replacing the sheet metal as needed and fasten the mount to the frame crossmember where the top shock mounts attach.

This probably means that you will have to drop the fuel tank...

Still want a tire-less tailgate???

Well I dont have any rust, I just need a way to make sure that if I do get into an accident that I dont have a tire flying foward chopping me in half.

similar situation with me.  i'm considering mounting it upright on the drivers side with a couple of bolts coming from the sheet metal behind the vinyl panels.  i plan on some large backing plates behind the sheet metal.  already have the panels off so i can Herculine all the interior.  thinking i'll leave off all the panels and just run it that way.  can't realy tell any difference in noise level.  plus found a a couple of places to mount some speakers   

well I guess ill just keep the damn thing on there then, sounds like a lot more complicated then I had origionaly thought. This sounds stupid but the main reason I wanted to take off was so that Id have more room for bumper stickers ^_^

I used to carry the spare tire in the back of my 2dr by putting a couple tie down rings in the floor to ratchet strap the spare tire down for safety.
I now have the Calmini tire carrier.
I found them at GI Joes and they are the small fold down ones.
I used 1/4"inch bolts with big washers to hold them in.

Why don't you just mount the stock spare tire carrier inside, on the floor??

I used a wingnut-hook from a cherokee sport's interior spare tire mount, hooked it on the stock backseat's latch loop right in the center of the cargo floor and used that to hold my spare down...

     We'll be mounting my spare in the rear floor of my Kick tonight using ratchet straps like HotRod did.  I'll try and take some pics.  I've packed a fully loaded plastic tool box back there bolted to the floor using the holes from the rear seat mount and it always held fine.  We originally planned to use a bracket bolted from there for the spare and still might eventually.
     I took my tailgate completely off so I could see better out the back and love it since the first time I drove without it.  But I haven't gotten caught in the rain yet either!!

I always thought about taking the tire mount off the bck and bolting it to the floorboards in the back.....

Cant do it with my Tracker because its my daily driver but, maybe for a trail rig when I find one.

Why not chain it to the rear seat bracket in the middle of the floor?  I've got some 10,000lb chain that that I like to keep handy and a few locks.  I was thinking I might run the chain through a few holes in the wheel and then just hook a lock around the seat bracket.  If that bracket's strong enough to hold a seat down in an accident it'll keep a tire still.  Just keep the chain relatively tight around the tire and you should be good.

That's my initial plan.  I still need to move the subwoofers out of their boxes and into the sides, put the amp somewhere, take the carpet and interior out, and make sure I have room for my toolboxes and random crap.
It might change...

    I didn't get any pics, but we got mine ratcheted down on the rear floor last night.  We bolted the tiedown hooks to holes in the floor where the wheelwell meets.  I think the holes where from where the rear seat belt attached.  Seems like its going to work well.  I'll see how it holds up at Zookimelt if I run with the spare.
