Want to mod out my sammi as much as I cam afford to,,, what does 2low kit doo for you, when would you need it?

A 2-Lo kit allows you the option of running in low range 2wd or 4wd. It gives you the low gearing and still the tight turining of 2wd. When ever you need it you have the choice of 2wd high, 2wd low, 4 high, 4wd low, or neutral.

Really tight trails when your have your front end locked. It's nice to be able to kick it into 2WD low and buzz around, click in 4LO and do the obsticles.

If money is an issue - don't get it. You can do 2wd low for free by NOT locking your front hubs (or unlocking if they're already locked). It's basically so you can switch to 2wd low without having to get in/out of your truck. It's especially handy if you have a locker in the front, and need the wheels to spin free (mostly only used in REALLY extreme offroading).

It's kind of one of those things where - if you have to ask - you don't need it.

Yes, I've often thought how useful 2wd low would be when pulling a heavy trailer. AFAIK its not shift on the fly though.

I have a trailer rig, it doesn't really go fast enough to drive it anywhere. 

I just use 4 Lo to put it on the trailer.  It doesn't really affect anything.  When I had the locker in the front end I would just leave the front end unlocked until I reached the trail proper.
