I'd like to know more about the twin sticks as well. I gather this is another method of gearing to allow larger tires, is this correct?

Nope, it allows you to have 2WD in low range
and shift from 2 hi 4 hi and 4 lo 2 lo without going
through the whole T-case shifting pattern

Also, it allows you to have the front engaged, and the rear disengaged..  so you can do burn turns (lock the rear brakes, and pull yourself around with the fronts engaged..) great for tight trails and rock crawling.

Ok, that sounds interesting, is it a complicated set up?
Just curious, it's way too expensive for me but the Calmini website offers rock crawling gears for the T-case.  If you had a set of these in then would you be able to run larger tires 33-35".
If you put these in could you still drive it at normal highway speeds in 2 wheel hi?
Thanks
Jim

The Calmini gears do not effect your 2WD speeds.  In 4Lo, you can easily run 33 and probably 35's.  I have 31's with the 4.24 T-case and 5.62 Dif gears and I litterially idle up stuff that before took a heavy right foot to tackle.

The Calmini gears do not effect your 2WD speeds.

Thats actually not entirely true. The Calmini t case gears do not effect the high range. If you have a twin stick you can shift into 2 low. The tracker case does not allow you to disengage the rear, even with a twin stick.
