Does anybody know what this is supposed to plug into?

I looked behind my 1996 Geo Tracker glovebox and I found this hose just chilling not connected to anything?  Any thoughts? Looks like it has a spring or some sort of coil inside of it...

yeah mine has it also, i noticed it when i was running power wire from the battery to my amp for my sub.  i just figured it was some kind of vent hose or something ???

yes I have A/c well it's not working at the moment.  See my other thread about the A/C expansion valve.  Could this be the real problem?!:)

I seen that in one of my buddys rigs, I thought that it could be for heated washer fluid for the windshield washer, it looks kinda like it goes through the heater core area. antartic stuff?
