Not sure if the float clip helped or not. I put it on in such a way that I don't think it will come off. It looks like it would have been easier to assemble the top on the carb by having it turned over so the gasket sits where it needs too and the float fits into its spot easier but it's sooo much easier to put the carb on with the top assembly off.
Now before I do anything stupid, It sure seems like I'm losing coolant. somewhere anyways. I have a couple plugs out on the firewall so I should be able to smell a leak. I don't see any leak but you would think that if it were even running out of the reserve reservor I would have a mess under the motor. A guy told me I could by some of those radiator flakes, like a stop leak if its that small of a leak. I would be afraid to put anything like that in. What do you think.
On the other hand, my valves probably need adjusted anyways. Maybe time to upgrade the head with some perfomance mod cam etc. Could a novice accomplish this?
