as a side note for when you take your busted birfield or axle out, my book said the steering knuckle had to be taken off, it doesn't.
If you have stock birfields (& I bet you do!) you
can remove the axles as holypockets has pointed out. Do a search for
front axle at Ack's FAQ (the link is in my signature) to find an illustrated article on the disasssembly process.
BTW, you are a LOT farther down the carnage trail than I am! The last thing I broke on my Samurai was the bead on a front tire at the Melt. Big Deal...ÂÂ
