Starting noise
« on: August 06, 2006, 09:14:58 PM »
Ok, agian, after the long weekend camping/wheelin trip and have another new noise.  When the trucklet is turned off and the start the zuk, right once the key hits the Start position i hear the click click click noise from under the dash near the pettles. Once it fires and i let the key go and it is running the noise stops.  So im wondering if this has happened to anyone else and how they stopped it, its kinda annoying

thank

I don't know about that noise but when my television acts up I knock the crap out of it and the picture comes back. I think it's known as "percusive maintenance"  ;D ;D I've been convinced for several years that the only reason my vehicles don't act up more is that they are scared of me.

Sounds like a relay clicking,Put your hand on any relays in the area you will be able to feel it vibrate. I assume by pettles you mean pedals.

I sometimes get the same thing in my Sunrunner, fast clicking but it stays for a few minutes, when I use a signal light it stops, and all I hear it the signal light, but it comes back when the signal is off. I've only noticed it on hotter days, 28+ degrees celcius.
