There are a number of seat swaps out there.  Generally, they all require a bit of welding/fabbing and cruising the salvage yards.

Do a search for seats at Ack's FAQ (link in my signature...) for links to the most popular ones.

I have Tracker seats in mine.  They sit a bit higher than the Samurai seats, but they are in a LOT better shape (and are more comfortable) than the Sammy seats...

Hope this helps!

I installed dodge/plymouth neon seats in mine.  used a cut-off grinder to remove the old dodge rails, then just bolted them straight to the rails from the old sammy,...they are much better than the torn up old ones that were in it.  One thing tho,....the car that I took the new donor seats from was a four door car.  So, they dont tip foreward to gain access to the back area,  would recommend trying to find a two door for a donor if they make em...

There is a thread going on the BBS at WWW.IZOOK.COM right now, and the discussion has been revolvong around Murph's Miata seat conversion.

It's a mostly Sammi board, so you might want to check it out.

i swapped in 1996 isuzu rodeo seats . swap out rodeo rails with the sammy rails. you'll have to put an 1.5 inch  spacer  on the inboard rails to level the seats. other than the spacers its an easy swap and my big coffee cup wedges nicely between the seats.

the other day I was perusing the selection of items at a nearby junkyard and happened across a mazda miata.  It was pretty picked over but one thing that I did notice is that most of the seats were still there, and when I looked at them I discovered that the top covers come off the seats and there is wiring and spaces for speakers in the seat headrests.  I thought that would be cool in a soft top sammy since the road noise can be a bit louder than the crappy stock speakers located down by your ankles.  I will have to check out how difficult of a swap it was and might have to pick some up someday.

I used Honda Del Sol seats in mine and I LOVE them.  The have really good side and thigh bolstering and sit really low.  They were narrow enough that the tuffy console still fit in between them.

Some fabbin' involved though.
