Hard top question
« on: August 13, 2006, 07:55:53 PM »
I have a 95 tracker and I want to install a hard top on it. On the back its just bare metal with a lip folded in, hard to explain... and on the tailgate its got the same "lip" and a piece of plastic running across but its broken and in some places completly missing. If I buy a hard top, how does it mount? screws or what?

The top slides in from the rear under the lip , two screws hold it secure , they are located in the lower front area.

This depends on the make/model hardtop, my hard top requires two 1/4" spacers for the front clips(front section above driver) and the rear has an "L" bracket that bolts in the rear, and the top clips to them, then there is a weather strip thing that slides on to the top of the tailgate; I'd take pictures, but I just changed to my soft top yesterday :(

My hartop looks like this:
