2000 G/V front hubs.
« on: August 21, 2006, 12:53:36 PM »
After launching my boat  on hard gravel in 4wd I found that it stayed in 4wd when I shifted back into 2wd. It did not kick out maybe only one side as the steering pulled real hard to the left when I hit pavement. I did kick out when I stopped and backed up a bit. The 4wd light when out when shifted back to 2wd so I think it's in the hubs maybe.

Any thoughts?

AFAIK the GV doesn't have locking hubs, its all done in the diff. Its air actuated, theres a pump on the chassis rail. Check the breather, if the air pressure isn't dropping properly it will hold the diff in 4wd.

Thanks for the info I just got the thing and don't now much about them, I thought it had auto hubs. I'll check the breather as you stated.

Thanks....FullDraw
