I just purchased a 94 Zuki and not being a good buyer found after the fact the 4 low doesn't want to stay in gear.  2H, 4H work good.  What should I do first.  Secondly I have a knock in the engine.  Is there some clear guides on rebuilding a engine or should I just drive til it drops?  I have a total of 1200.00 in it so I really don't want to go crazy with major work.

as for the 4 low I would pull out the shifter and check your shifter sheet bushing which is located right under your shifter, they are known for going bad.make sure that when you take off the boot going to your shifter that you take 2 screwdrivers and place them in the 2 slots and push down while turning clockwise to remove the shifter and as for the motor they are known for loosing the screw that hold down your rocker arms so take off your valve cover and check and make sure that all the phillip screws are tight, it might be too late for this but hey its worth a try.
