I have a 1995 (16 valve) Tracker that idles to slow.Is there any adjustment or way to speed it up.Thanks

   Yes.  Here's a link to article in the FAQ section of the Zuwharrie board.  My 95 would idle too low at warm up and nearly stall when stopping.  Quick easy adjustment of the screw and its been fine every since.

I've read that as well a couple times, do you know which way to turn the screw? and do you adjust it when you first start the truck? or do you adjust it while off...

 I think that counter clockwise raises idle just go slow a 1/8 at a time til you get it right you dont want to idle over 900 rpms or youll safe mode the ecm and run limp mode...

Hey Zuk1972,

If the ECM goes into a safe mode (default loop), is there a way to clear or reset this?

I'm curious if this could be one of my problems.

   I made the adjustment with the truck off, but I don't know that you'd have too.  I'm just paronoid!  And I think it was counter clockwise, somewhere between 1/8 and 1/4 turn for mine.

Okay, (I know this isn't my thread, but this might be helpful to someone in the future)I did mine before I left work today, I started the truck and waited for the idle to drop down from about 1300rpm to 800rpm(less than 1 min of running), I turned the screw CC not quite 1/4 turn, and I drove away right away(about 2 1/2 - 3 min running now), when I come to the end of the road, it didn't stall, which it normally would have driving that quickly after starting it. I usually wait a few minutes before I drive, so it doesn't stall. The idle did drop to about 600rpm's, enough to keep it going. I might try a little more of a turn tomorrow to see if I can eliminate the drop to about 700rpm.
