Real World Tires?

Real World Tires?

I am looking for opionions on real world tires.  

I know everyone talks about swampers, boggers, claws, and all but what about GOOD all around tires?

I'm looking for 235/75/15's.

Any idea's??

Cooper Discoverer A/T's. I trail ride and have zero problems. I went with A/T's because of the ice and snow we get every Winter and they have worked fine. I will probably go with the Discoverer STT next because after a redesign they seem to have everything I'm looking for in a tire.

I just put a set of Goodrich Deuler AT Revo's on my wife Montero.  They are very aggressive and have great reviews.  So far they are silent running and work good in the snow.

The stock tires on my Kick, were Deuler HT's, but I ahve run Deuler AT's since (on my daily driver 4-door).

They aren't GREAT on ice, or in deep snow.  They're so-so.

I will have a set of the new Cooper STT's on Sat. I will take some pics and post them. Won't have them mounted for another week or so.

I looked at the Cooper STT.  They don't come in a 235. :'(

They are doing away with the old style STT and replacing it with the S/T.  At least that's what my Cooper dealer told me.

Cooper has caused a little confusion with their names. The STT is available as a 30X9.50R15LT, it is an off-road designed tire and that size works out to a 29.70X7.80



The Radial STT is available as a  LT235/75R15 and that size is actually a 28.90X6.90.



The ST is available as a LT235/75R15 which is actually a 28.62X7.20.



All the dimensions were taken from the Cooper Site. Your dealer needs to research his products a little better. They have similar names but are completely different tires with different uses although they are very close in size. I have no idea if they will discontinue the Radial STT but the STT is a new product.

I REALLY like my BFG AT's. They are 235/75's, have good grip in snow and on ice, best of all they are predictable...you can feel when they are losing grip and are very easy to control when they do start to let go. I have a set of Michelin LTX's (215/75's) and they tend to let go all of a sudden...not very confidence inspiring.

My Mtr's work good. Might also want to check out the Mickey thompson baja Mtx. I had some 225/75's on my tracker with the emu kitt and they work great any were.

i knwo a lot of people who have these tires, they love them, best all around tire i think, tho i think they are pricy, this will be the next set of tires

the truxus mud terain tire by swamper is a really good all around tire with great ride qulity. i would compare it to a goodyear MTR. here is a link to swampers website http://www.intercotire.com/left_index.htm

For those on a budget I run SuperSport's availible at Walmart, pretty decent tire with a good balance between grip and on road handling and noice
