Rockers are lined...
« on: October 02, 2006, 03:30:58 PM »
Finished the rockers and nose on the weekend...Now it just needs bumpers and a winch and she's ready to go!

This is the product I used this time. It's about the same as the Hippoliner...a little glossier maybe. It is messier to work with than the Duplicolor product, but it seems to be a little more durable. I'm please with the results. I like the fact that it is a 2 part  epoxy/urethane, unlike the other liners.

Have you used the hippoliner before?  did you have any problems with it for durability?  i did the exact same paint schem except for the grill using hippoliner, and other than finding out that it is nearly impossible to get off of your skin, I thought the product turned out pretty good.

Yup, I did it on one of my XJ's...it's very similar to the Gator guard II (they're both made by Dominion Sure Seal).

I got a smoking deal on it...2 kits, the gun, and a t-shirt for 65 bux CAD. Normally it is $65 for just 1 kit and $27 for the gun.

you would have to scuff it up some what, you can use a scotch bright (red one) or some 400 grit sand paper,, you gotta sand it so the product has something to bite too....
