Chassis electrical issues - interior/exterior lights on Sidekick

I've got a few bad door switches (the switches that turn on the dome light when you open the door)  They're stuck, very gunky.  I was thinking of simply replacing them, rather than trying to remove them, take them apart, and clean them.  Anybody know a source for these?

A bigger problem is my back-up lights.  When I put it in reverse, sometimes the lights come on only after I've moved several feet.  Sometimes they don't come on at all.  Where is the switch located?  I assume it's either in the shifter or the tranny, but I'm not sure.

How would I fix this?

The switches for the door can be found in junk yards...I was also able to source some from junkyarddog.com

The issue with the reverse lights is likely the same, it is likely the switch in the transmission.

Cool.  I'll try that website.  I have a hard time getting out to junkyards.  Do you know if that switch for the back-up lights is an external thing?  Or will I have to drop the tranny?

I tried repairing the door switches multiple times with contact cleaner, compressed air, WD-40 (hey, I was getting desperate...lol) and always ended up getting about a week out of them before they started acting up.  I finally went to Walmart and got a rectangular clear utility light and replaced the dim interior light with the new one. I wired it directly to the +12 going to the old light so you no longer have light when opening the door, but it's about 100 times brighter.
