ANyone everythink of inboarding the rear coils?

I'm thinking of fabbing an upper mount right on the bottom of the frame, with a mount right below it on the axle. This would prolly give you about 3" of lift, maybe a bit more.

Anyone try this? Good idea/bad idea? I got some ideas to pull off a bolt on type of thing!

work in progress , i got the trailing arm mounts on my toy axel and put it in place and am going to have to remount the trailing arms on the frame making them longer. with the lift the arch of the lower arms is a problem .  :-/

welding until you check it out in a road test

Watch to make sure your lines are ok. e-brake and such, yeah, watch for body roll too. maybe just scrap the whole thing, slap a 5 link on that biotc, notch the frame and aim for a foot of travel or more. Prolly not the best for rock crawling but it'd be fun in the dunes.

Yea, gonna try and compensate with stiffer shocks. Maybe get a stabilizer bar?

Not for height, Just trying something different for some more flex in the rear. If it drives like sh*t, handles like sh*t, just plain is SH*T, I'll go back to stock. I have no plans on cutting off the stock stuff.

And what's up with the once again?? Did you ask this before?

I've seen this done on a coiled Sammi - the axle bent , several times   .

I was just trying to figure it out in my mine.  So "once again" I was trying to figure it out.

What shocks are you running?  Those are your first limiting factors.  Once you have long enof shocks to where your spring are loose then your springs are your limiting factor.

But,

I have a set of Ford F-150 4x4 shocks on mine.  Calimni 3" springs set to where their loose and I don't think I'd want any more drop.  I/we have a slip yoke, and any more drop and I'd be worried about the drive shaft coming out to far.  

Flexing over rock and such would not be a problem, but hitting a jump at 20-30 mph and getting a little air, the whole rear end cycles down and

Also, I remember Mike stating once that at one time he had too much articulation in the rear for the front IFS.  It was unstable.
