Ever since I've owned my 95 Tracker, my back door has not opened. It's not really a big deal, as I don't put anything back there anyway, but if I have a door I'd like it to be able to open.
Today I took everything apart to figure out why and found the culprit. The first thing I noticed is that the handle itself is binded. The spring is rusted beyond repair, and therefore needs to be replaced. I feel that this was a result of it not being used because it was broken prior to that happening, though. I, shortly after, realized that the plastic piece between the handle and the linkage is broken. I figure this broke long ago, resulting in the disuse of the handle, and it therefore rusted.
So I'm in need of the handle and the piece that connects the handle to the linkage. Is there a website that might have this part? I haven't found any really good Tracker parts suppliers yet, and none of the ones I know of list that part. I'm going to post a wanted ad in the Garage Sale forum, but I'd prefer new parts.
